There's a new blog in town.
Get ready for some changes 'round these parts!
I am in the process of creating a new blog for the new wedding season that is fast approaching. I am so excited to be working with Big Folio. They have been so helpful. The new blog will be much different from what I have now. It will take some getting used to, but I hope you like it.
I'd also like to tell you guys about something unfortunate that happened this week. I was looking at a local photographer's website (right here on Long Island) and realized that the images that they displayed on their website was NOT their work. It was the work of Jessica Claire and James Walter. I remembered seeing this particular wedding on a professional forum that I am a part of. With the help of other members, we quickly found the rightful owners of the work. It is terribly upsetting to see this happen so close to home.
I offer this warning to brides out there. PAY ATTENTION TO THE VARIETY OF WORK THAT YOU SEE FROM YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER. Look at the quality of the work. CONSISTENCY IS KEY. If your photographer has an amazing wedding that sticks out like a sore thumb, ask them about it. If one set of images looks technically perfect (free of shadows, nicely toned skin) and then rest have shadows, really bad highlights then ask them about it! Seriously, shame on this photographer.
People always ask why I put my logo all over my images and this is one of the reasons. While it won't stop people from taking my images, it will make them a little bit harder to display.
On a happier note, I am taking a road trip for a week in April. I've been feeling so drained lately and I want to get back into shooting before weddings kick in. I think it will be a great challenge for me and I can't wait to share the images with you.
I will also be heading to Vegas during the last week of March for some serious photography bootcamps. If you are going, be sure to say hi!

I'm still alive..
I am finally officially done "shooting" for 2006..and let me tell you.. it feels great!! I need a break until things start up again in January. I have 3 weddings, so stay tuned for some new work.. :) I am also looking forward to 2007 because I'm traveling to some fantastic locations; Washington DC, San Francisco and ENGLAND!! It's going to be a blast. After the new year, I will start accepting 2008 events as well.
Since my last post, I've done a lot of portrait work. Believe it or not, portraits are so much harder than weddings...which is why I can only handle a few per year...lol!

So, I hope this holds y'all off for a bit. I will post some shots from my trip to Ohio for Christmas when I get back. Happy Holidays, everyone!!

My logo is alive!!
I just photographed the sweetest family ever. They gave me total creative control and didn't want the "traditional" family portrait. It was lotsa' fun, and I hope they enjoy the preview.
Also, look at mom. Her hair and t-shirt are the same colors as my logo! :) Awesome.

Lucky 777!!

I want to congratulate George & Meghan. They are the lucky winners of my 070707 contest. When they chose the date they didn't even really how popular it was. They ended up choosing 7 BM & GM each..and they are even getting marring at 7pm! How cool is that?
When they contacted me, I knew immediately they were the right couple. George is super artistic and I can't wait to see how all of their details come together. Meghan is so sweet and has the hottest dress ever. :)
They are getting married at a brand new reception space and I can't wait to shoot there.
Looking forward to it, guys!
